Lifes' Highways - C&T VdL

This weekend in WA is a long one, with the Friday being the public holiday for the Queen's birthday (its normally at the end of September, but she is here in Perth for Commonwealth Heads of Government Meetings - CHOGM). And this year, the public holiday coincided with a special little boys 6th birthday...so the extended Vander Linden family (ie. including the Janssen/Vdl clan) drove in a southerly direction to Bunbury to spend the day eating, talking, laughing and generally catching up with our family members down then.

Unfortunately yours truly forgot to bring out the camera while we were at the birthday party, so no photos of that event. However, after leaving Bunbury we all met up again in Mandurah. As it was nearing dinner time we went to Dolphin Quay (?). Naturally, little miss Tahnee decided it was also time for her dinner, so there was a bit of "pass-the-baby" going on whilst trying to eat :)....and it was here that we (ie Chris) remembered to take the said camera out of the bag and actually use (as opposed to looking like a tourist by carrying it around)!

After dinner the kids stopped for a few minutes to have a play on the slides and other equipment. Sorry Casey, but the photos we had of your were blurry :(

And since Tahnee is just a tad too little to enjoy the slides, here is a photo her mummy took the other night, when she was sitting on the couch and with daddy, making smiles.
