Feeding the Ducks

A few days before the WA Day Long Weekend, Chris and I decided that we wanted to spend some quality time as a family, doing something relaxing, and cost effective! We settled on a picnic at the park, where the kids would be able to feed the ducks.

Come Monday lunch time we packed a lunch of chicken, buns and hot chips and gravy, and baby food for Tahnee, and headed down to the park.

After eating I attempted to take some nice photos of Chris and Lucas. However, Lucas had others as you can tell from some of the photos below!

All Cheese!

Then the kids were allowed to go down to the lake and feed the ducks some bread. Neither of them had any fear and thoroughly enjoyed being up close and personal with nature. Tahnee even decided she was still hungry and started munching on a piece of bread!!

Chris also had his turn with the camera and took photos of the ducks, birds and reeds.

Finally we took some family photos as well. The kids were not very cooperative and the lighting could have been better. But we still got a few nice shots :)

All in all it was an enjoyable and relaxing few hours. Our other activities over the long weekend involved mowing the lawn, unpacking some more boxes, organising the shed, general cleaning and dinner with friends and their kids. It was our first long weekend at home where we had no plans to see someone for the weekend entire weekend - we usually go away or have family come and stay :)
