Dad's Day

The first Sunday in September in Aussie land is traditionally recognised as Father's Day. In our household, we celebrated the day with fond memories of the year before when we were revelling in the joy of our first cuddles with Tahnee :)

After grabbing a quick shower, Chris sat down with the kids to open his presents. Present buying can be such a hard chore, but this year it was made a little easier as Chris had been wanting a cover for our new Weber barbecue, and he was also complaining that his aftershave was nearly empty ... so those became our presents!

Between Church services we attempted to take some photos that a friend had been asking for. Its a mission to get 2 kids to smile, look at the camera, sit sill and hold that pose! But we managed to get quite a few nice shots. 

In the evening we headed over to Chris's parents for dinner of pizza pies, fellowship with relatives and games. Its always so hectic when the whole family gets together, that we tend to forget about taking photos. Instead, just imagine 8 kids playing, 8 adults talking and supervising children playing, and the chaos of making and timing dinner for all 16 of us! But we love it :)
